Description
Nos. 1 and 2 Angel Cottage are a pair of cottages dating from the early 18th century. They are built of painted brick and feature a pantile roof with a single coped gable on the right, complete with a kneeler, a central brick stack, and dentillated eaves. The cottages are two storeys high with an attic and consist of four bays, including a first-floor band.
On the ground floor, there are two central glazing bar casements with a wooden cross-shaped transom and mullion, flanked by single doorways that have part-glazed doors. Above these, there are four similar casements with smaller panes. The two gabled dormers each contain a single glazing bar Yorkshire sash. All openings on the ground and first floors are set under segmental arches.
