Description
Nos. 1 and 2 Angel Row are a pair of cottages dating from around 1700, which were remodeled in the 19th century. They are constructed from coursed rubble, ashlar, and stucco, topped with a pantile roof that is hipped on the left and features two gable stacks. The cottages are two storeys high and consist of three bays, with lintel bands for the first and second floors set on a plinth.
The central doorway has a 20th-century door and is flanked by single three-light stone mullion casements with stone surrounds. Above, there are two similar casements. At the rear, there is a rendered and pantiled, two-storey plus attic cottage, also three bays wide. This has a central doorway with a flush quoined door surround and a glazed 20th-century door. To the left is a four-light 20th-century casement, and to the right is a three-light 20th-century casement, with two similar casements above and a glazing bar Yorkshire sash in the dormer.
