Description
The Angel Inn is an inn that dates from the 18th and 19th centuries. It is constructed of stucco with a pantile roof, featuring a brick coped left gable that has kneelers. The building has two gable and two ridge brick stacks, with the left gable stack also attached to the adjacent building. The eaves are decorated with dog tooth and dentillated detailing.
The inn is two storeys high and has ten bays, with a band at the first floor level. It is set on a plinth. The main entrance features a doorway with a half-glazed door and overlight, flanked by single Tuscan half columns that support a slightly projecting segmental pediment. Above the entrance is a stained glass and iron sign from around 1930.
To the right of the entrance, there is a single 19th-century canted bay window with glazing bar sashes, flanked by narrow glazing bar sashes. On the left side, there is a single glazing bar sash, a 19th-century bay window with glazing bar sashes, two additional glazing bar sashes, a single carriageway under a flat head, and another glazing bar sash. Above these, there are ten glazing bar sashes. At the rear of the building, there are two-storey extensions.
