Description

Hodsock Grange Farmhouse, link walls, and outbuildings date from the late 18th century, with a 19th-century porch added later. The structure is built of dressed coursed rubble with ashlar dressings and features a slate roof with two stone gable stacks, stone coped gables, and kneelers, all set on a plinth. The farmhouse is two storeys plus a garret and has three bays, each with two-storey recessed arched panels topped with stone archivolts and keystones, and an impost band. The central porch is closed and gabled, made of ashlar and slate, and has a pediment in the gable. It is also set on a plinth with projecting quoins and a sill band, and features a single glazing bar fixed light.

On the east side, there is a blocked doorway, while the west side has a 20th-century door. Flanking these are single sashes with marginal glazing bars, along with three smaller similar sashes above. All sashes have flush ashlar surrounds. Each garret contains a single glazing bar Yorkshire sash with a fanlight in an ashlar surround featuring imposts and a keystone.

To the rear, there are dressed coursed rubble single-storey link walls, also set on a plinth with ashlar coping. Each wall has a single doorway with a wooden door in a flush ashlar surround. These walls lead to single, slightly projecting, dressed coursed rubble outbuildings with pyramidal pantile roofs. Each outbuilding is two storeys and has a single bay with a recessed arched panel, stone archivolt, and impost band. The left outbuilding features a single glazing bar casement on each floor, while the right outbuilding has a single opening on each floor. All openings in the outbuildings have flush ashlar surrounds.
