Description
The barn at Goldthorpe Farm is a late 18th-century structure made of dressed coursed rubble with a pantile roof. It is two storeys high and consists of five bays. The central feature is a tall archway with an ashlar arch, impost blocks, and a keystone. To the left of the archway, there is a single blocked window opening and a doorway with a wooden stable door. To the right, there is a window opening with a wooden panel and a blocked doorway. All these openings have flush ashlar surrounds and are set within smaller openings. Above, there are four additional openings; the two on the right have slatted wooden panels and glazing bar overlights, all with flush ashlar surrounds. To the left, there is a lower two-storey wing with a hipped pantile roof. This wing features a doorway with a wooden door and flush ashlar surround, and to the right, there is a doorway with double wooden doors and ashlar jambs. Above this wing is another doorway with a wooden door, and to the right, there is a single opening with wooden slats. The barn is included for its group value only.
