Description
Goldthorpe Farmhouse is a house dating from the late 18th century. It is constructed of dressed coursed rubble with a slate roof and features two red brick gable stacks. The building is set on a plinth and consists of two storeys plus a garret, with three bays. The central doorway has a 20th-century glazed door and a glazing bar overlight, all within a flush ashlar surround. On either side of the doorway are single sash windows, with three similar sashes located above. All the sashes have a flush ashlar quoin surround and a keystone.
To the left, there is a lower two-storey wing that is set back from the main structure. This wing is made of dressed coursed rubble, red brick, and render, topped with a slate roof that is half hipped to the right. It features a single rendered ridge stack and, from left to right, includes a blocked doorway, a doorway with a 20th-century door, a single 20th-century casement window, another doorway with a 20th-century door and a glazing bar overlight under a segmental arch, and above these, a single 20th-century casement and a single 20th-century sash, both under segmental arches.
