Description

The gate piers and railings at Babworth Park date from around 1790 and were designed by Repton. They are made of ashlar and wrought iron. The main features include a pair of rusticated ashlar gate piers that sit on a moulded ashlar base, topped with a narrow moulded ashlar band and shaped ashlar coping. These piers are flanked by sloping wrought iron railings and are accompanied by single, smaller piers that are similar in style.
