Description

The war memorial located in the churchyard of the Church of St Mary was erected in 1919 to commemorate those who served in the First World War. It is made of Portland stone and features a tapering pedestal set on a stepped base. The memorial includes an entablature that is topped by a sculpture of a standing soldier in uniform, who is leaning on a rifle held in a reversed arms position. This memorial is listed for its group value only.
