Gate Lodge. C19. Brick with ashlar dressings, slate roof having 2 triple tunnelled moulded brick ridge stacks. 2 storey 3 bay front, centre bay advanced with gabled roof having carved bargeboard with pinnacle matching those above the flanking first floor windows. Central panelled door in three centred archway with moulded brick hoodmould. Flanked by single canted bay windows having casements with chamfered reveals and hipped slate roofs with lead dressings. Above door is a canted oriel window supported on carved slender brackets with casements and slate roof, flanked by single casements with chamfered reveals and decorative vertical slits over. Gables of main roof project and have carved bargeboards.
