Description
The Methodist Chapel, built in 1860, is constructed of stockbrick and red brick, topped with a slate roof featuring coped gables, kneelers, and a single projecting stack on the west return. The building is two stories high with a three-bay front. It has two doorways with plank doors and a window in between, which has a round head and margin lights. Each opening is adorned with a polychrome brick arch above. There are three broad bands of ornamental brickwork above these features. The central pair of round-headed windows is flanked by red brick diamonds and single round-headed windows. Above the windows, there are three ornamental red brick arches and a plaque inscribed with the date. The gable is decorated with dog tooth and dentillated brickwork. The interior is noted to have no special interest.
