Description
The Wesleyan Chapel, built in 1824, is a single-storey structure made of red brick with a pantile roof. The eastern gable is coped and features broad kneelers, while the eaves on the north and south sides are dentillated. The east front has three bays, with a central doorway that has a round head made of long, narrow brick voussoirs, a leaded light fanlight, and a plank door. On either side of the doorway are round-headed windows, also with long, narrow brick voussoirs, and lower fixed windows with margin lights, topped by upper round-headed casements. Above the door, there is a round-headed ashlar plaque inscribed with "1824 + Wesleyan Chapel." The north return has three glazing bar sash windows with flat heads. A 20th-century addition is located at the rear.
