Description
The Manor House is a house built around 1800, which was remodeled and extended around 1830. It features a coursed limestone rubble plinth, red brick in Flemish bond, and ashlar dressings. The hipped slate roof has two wall stacks. The building is two stories high with a four-bay front. The left bay is marked by an interrupted moulded ashlar band, with a further plain band and a moulded cornice above.
The entrance is off-centre, consisting of a six-panelled door with a curved glazing bar fanlight, panelled reveals, and a fluted wooden doorcase that includes key and impost blocks. This door is flanked by single glazing bar sash windows. To the left, there is a two-storey canted ashlar bay window with glazing bar sashes, a moulded string course, and a cornice. The lower keystones of this bay window feature floriate carvings. On the first floor, there is a semi-circular headed glazing bar sash flanked by single glazing bar sashes. All other windows have flat rubbed brick splayed arches. Additionally, there are recessed cast iron boot scrapers on either side of the door.
