Description
No. 60 Church Street is a former school house, now a house, built in 1821 and restored in 1972. The building is constructed of coursed and banded limestone rubble with ashlar quoins and dressings, topped by a Collyweston slate roof. It is two stories high with a three-bay front. The ground floor features a central six-panel door flanked by single glazing bar sash windows. The first floor has three similar windows. All openings are adorned with ashlar lintels that have raised keystones. Beneath the central window, there is a stone panel inscribed "Erected Anno Domini 1821." To the left of the front, there is a semi-circular headed archway above which is a panel that records the restoration by South Kesteven District Council in 1972.
