Description
No. 1 Irnham Road is a house dating from the mid-18th century, with alterations made in the mid-19th century. It is built from coursed limestone rubble, featuring ashlar quoins and dressings. The roof is covered with pantiles and has single brick and ashlar gable stacks. The building is designed in an L-plan and is two stories tall, with a three-bay front. The central entrance consists of a half-glazed panelled door, flanked by single rectangular bays that have pent slate roofs, fretted eaves boards, and margin light sash windows. On the first floor, there are three similar sash windows. All openings are topped with segmental ashlar heads that have raised keyblocks.
