Description

The Garden House at Frieston House is an early 19th-century structure. It is built from coursed limestone rubble and was originally stuccoed. The building features a cantilevered roof and is a single storey with a three-bay front and an octagonal plan. The central entrance has a two-centred arched door, flanked by pointed-headed windows in the adjacent canted walls. Inside, there is a continuous softwood bench seat that is interrupted at the door, which has shaped ends on either side. The back of the bench retains its original diagonal trellis. This building is included for its group value only.
