Description

Trap House is a trap house built in 1846. It is constructed from coursed limestone rubble with ashlar dressings, featuring a stone-coped gable and a slate roof, while the side walls are made of red brick. The front has one bay and is two stories high, with flanking pilasters that have plain capitals topped with single stone acorns, which balance the ball finial at the top of the roof. In the center, there are planked glazed carriage doors beneath a wide segmental arch, with the keystone slightly emphasized and inscribed with the date 1846. Above the doors is a single glazing bar sash window with a flat lintel and a raised keyblock. This building is included for its group value only.
