Description

The cottages at 4 and 6 Casewick Lane date from around 1840 and were likely built as part of an estate. They are constructed from coursed and banded limestone rubble, with ashlar quoins and dressings, and have Collyweston slate roofs topped with gable ball pinnacles. A large central chimney stack rises from the roof, featuring a plinth and dentilated cornice.

The two-storey, four-bay front has three stepped buttresses at ground floor level. The ground floor windows consist of a central pair of three-light windows, flanked by single-light windows. Above, a pair of two-light windows are set beneath a common gable. All windows have chamfered surrounds and mullions. Within the gable is a square recessed panel, also with a chamfered surround, which holds a terracotta plaque displaying the arms of the Earl of Lindsey.
