Description
No. 15 on Casewick Lane is a cottage dating from the late 17th century, with alterations made in the 19th century. It is constructed from coursed limestone rubble and features ashlar quoins. The thatched roof is topped with two red brick gable stacks. The cottage is a single storey plus attics and has a four-bay front. The entrance is an off-centre planked door, which is sheltered by a narrow gabled hood. This door is flanked by plain casement windows, with a similar window to the right, all of which have timber lintels. To the left of the door is a small fixed firelight window. In the roof, there are two raking through eaves dormers that contain two-light plain casements, each adorned with thatched eyebrows.
