Description

No. 5 Barn Hill is a stone house dating from the 17th century and mid-18th century, featuring two storeys and attics. The exterior is cement-rendered, and it has a stone slate roof that extends over No. 6. The house includes two cambered dormers with glazing bars and two widely spaced double-hung sash windows, also with glazing bars. A mid-19th century stone porch with a pediment sits above a five-panel door, one of which is glazed, and there is a rectangular bay window with four lights. Originally, No. 5 was part of a single house with No. 6.

Nos. 2 to 6 Barn Hill, Barn Hill House, and the wall and gatepiers with the gazebo in the garden of Barn Hill House form a group.
