Description

The Clock House is a small, detached house built in the mid-19th century, situated on Casterton Road. It is two storeys high and divided by a moulded string course. The exterior is of coursed stone with a stone slate roof, and it features two paired stone chimney stacks. There are three rectangular two-light stone mullioned windows with hoodmoulds and Gothic traceried glazing bars. The central door is made of six panels and is set within a four-centred arch, also with a rectangular hoodmould. The central section of the facade projects slightly and incorporates a gable with a blind round lunette, which previously housed a clock. The building forms a group with numbers 32 to 41 (consecutively) and Rock House, Scotgate.
