Description

This bridge, located approximately 350 metres south of the Hall at Stoke Rochford, was built around 1841 and is likely designed by William Burn. Constructed from ashlar, it features three pointed arches supported by triangular cutwaters. The bridge has a plain band and a parapet with facetted coping, and it ends in square piers topped with large ball finials. It spans a narrow section of the lake created by damming Cringle Brook and carries the drive to South Lodge. The bridge was part of the landscaping for Stoke Rochford Park, commissioned by Sir Christopher Turnor.
