Description

Church Cottages, a pair of estate cottages, were built around 1840-1845 by William Burn. They are constructed from ashlar stone and feature slate roofs, with raised stone coped gables that have moulded kneelers. The cottages have a single storey plus attics and a four-bay front, which includes two advanced rectangular bays that contain three-light mullioned windows and hipped stone roofs, flanked by single fixed lights. Above these bays are two-light through eaves gabled dormer windows. This listing is included for its group value only.
