Description

Shippon Barn, located to the north of Well Head Cottage, is part of a former farm complex. It is constructed of dressed stone laid in courses, featuring ashlar bands. The roof is made of stone slate with a red ridge tile. A wood lintel frames the doorway. Notably, the barn may include elements from the original castle buildings, as evidenced by stone arrow slits visible on the south wall.
