Description

The Gregory Arms Public House is a public house dated 1797, with additions and alterations made in the mid and late 20th century. It is constructed of painted brick with ashlar dressings and features a hipped plain tile roof, which has two ridge stacks and one rear wall stack. The building has a plinth and dentillated eaves and stands two storeys tall with a nine-window range. Most of the windows are 20th-century replacements that include glazing bars and brick flat arches.

The centre of the building slightly projects and features a central half-round bay window with a six-pane sash. Flanking this bay window are four sash windows, three of which are blank. Below the bay window, there are five fixed lights with twelve panes each. To the left of the bay, there are two twelve-pane windows, followed by a door with an overlight and another window. To the right, there is a door with an overlight, next to a blocked window flanked by twelve-pane windows.

At the left end, there is a mid-20th-century single-storey flat-roofed addition. This building is one of those constructed or altered around 1790 to 1820 by George de Ligne Gregory, who was the Lord of the Manor of Harlaxton. His monogram is featured on a datestone at the rear.
