Description

The war memorial located on High Street in Colsterworth was built in 1919 and is made of ashlar stone. It is designed in the style of a medieval cross featuring a crucifixion. The memorial has an octagonal shaft with hollow chamfers that rises to a castellated top, which supports a gabled crucifixion. The base of the memorial is set on three octagonal steps and includes inscribed slate plaques on each face. This structure is included in the listing for its group value context.
