Description

Mount Pleasant is a late 18th-century house, altered in the 19th and 20th centuries. It is constructed of coursed limestone rubble with ashlar quoins and dressings. The roof is covered in pantiles, with two brick gable stacks. The main three-bay front is three storeys high. A 20th-century door is set into a stone surround, slightly off-centre, with a small inserted 20th-century window to the right and a plain 19th-century sash window to the left. The first floor has a central blocked opening, flanked by single 19th-century sash windows in original 18th-century openings that have raised sills. The second floor has three blocked openings. All 18th-century window openings are characterised by flat, splayed ashlar arches. To the left of the main house is a later 19th-century two-storey range, with a stone ground storey and a yellow brick first floor.
