Description
Manor House is a house dating from the mid-17th century, with a 19th-century addition and alterations, as well as some minor changes from the 20th century. It is constructed of squared limestone rubble, featuring ashlar quoins and dressings, and has a concrete tiled roof with raised stone coped gables. The house includes a single ridge stack with a pair of moulded ashlar stacks that have cornices. The 19th-century red brick extension has a pantile roof.
The building is L-shaped and has two storeys with a garret, presenting an irregular three-bay front. In the angle, there is a half-glazed door with a glazing bar fixed narrow light, set in a 17th-century surround and topped by a 20th-century pent roof. To the left, there is a three-light stone mullioned window with a dropped cill and cast stone mullions. To the right, a 20th-century French window is located under a timber lintel. On the first floor, there is a single three-light mullioned window in each wing. The lower red brick 19th-century wing to the right features 20th-century fenestration.
In the left-hand gable end, there are single two-light mullioned windows on the ground and first floors, along with a two-light casement in the garret. All the mullioned windows have cornices and ovolo moulded mullions. The interior of the house retains inglenook fireplaces and chamfered and stopped beams.
