Description
Barn at Stoke Grange, built in the 18th century with minor alterations from the 19th century. It is constructed from coursed limestone rubble with ashlar quoins and features a pantile roof. The barn has a two-storey, two-bay front with an off-centre full-height opening beneath a deep timber lintel. To the right, there is a planked door under a timber lintel, flanked by single breathers. On either side of the main opening, there are single planked openings at the eaves. The gable ends include timber levelling plates at regular intervals. The oak roof has massive tie beams and is built using pegged clasped purlin construction.
