Description
This bridge over the River Witham on the north drive of Easton Park was built around 1840. It is made of squared coursed limestone rubble with ashlar dressings. The structure features two semi-circular arches, each with triangular cut waters. The parapets have gabled ashlar coping and square piers at each end, which now support small ball finials and winged griffins from the grotto. This bridge was originally constructed as a garden ornament in the park of Easton Hall for the Cholmeley family.
