Description

Nos. 1 and 1A Market Place is a late 18th-century building that houses two shops within one structure. It is three stories tall, constructed of brick with a parapet, and features a slate roof. Each upper floor has two windows: one single-light and one double-light, both set within slightly segmental brick arches with flush frames and glazing bars. The ground floor has a modern shop front, while the upper floors are occupied by the YMCA.
