Description

The park gateway located 300 meters north-east of Belton House dates from the mid-19th century and is constructed of ashlar stone. It features two square ashlar gatepiers that support a single cast-iron gate designed in the Gothic style. The gateway is flanked by convex curved screen walls that have ramped slab coping and square end piers. Each of the piers is topped with shallow pyramidal caps.
