Description
The statue at the north end of the main garden axis northeast of Belton House represents Ceres and was created in 1850 by J. Franchi. It is made of white marble and stands on a moulded square base, approximately 1.5 meters high. The statue was likely installed during the reconstruction of the gardens by the 3rd Earl Brownlow between 1870 and 1900. This statue is located within Belton Park, which is registered as grade I on the Gardens Register.
