Description

Number 3 Mess Room at Bass Maltings is a single-storey building constructed around 1900, designed by A. Couchman. It is built of red brick and features a plain tile roof, with a brick chimney stack on the rear wall and a central lead ventilator at the ridge. The building has a deep blue brick chamfered plinth. The main front includes three glazing bar sash windows, all of which are currently boarded up. There are also single doorways and single sash windows, now boarded, on each side of the building. This mess room is an important part of the nationally significant maltings complex.
