Description

Number 5 Mess Room at Bass Maltings is a single-storey building constructed around 1900, designed by A. Couchman. It is made of red brick and features a hipped plain tile roof with two lead ventilators. The building has a deep blue brick chamfered plinth. The main front includes four glazing bar sash windows, although the two on the left are now boarded up. There are single doorways and single sash windows on each side of the building. This mess room is an important part of the nationally significant maltings complex.
