Description
Number 4 Mess Room at Bass Maltings is a single-storey building constructed around 1900, designed by A. Couchman. It is made of red brick and features a hipped plain tile roof with a central brick chimney stack, which is flanked by lead ventilators. The building has a deep blue chamfered plinth. The main front includes four glazing bar sash windows, all of which are currently boarded up. There are also single doorways and single sashes on each side, which are likewise boarded. This mess room is an important part of the nationally significant maltings complex.
