Description

The icehouse located 20 metres north of Ashby Hall, associated with the stable block, is an early 19th-century structure. It features a large, circular domed chamber that is partially sunken below ground level. The entrance passage is barrel vaulted and has suffered partial collapse. This icehouse was built to serve Ashby Hall.
