Description
Heath Farm House and the attached farm buildings date from the mid-18th century, with some alterations made in the early 19th century. The buildings are constructed from coursed squared limestone rubble and feature a slate roof with two brick gable stacks. The house is designed in an L-shape and has three storeys with a three-bay front. The central entrance consists of a two-panelled door with a plain overlight, flanked by single tripartite windows. On the first floor, there is a two-light window flanked by two similar three-light windows. The second floor features three two-light windows at the eaves. All windows are plain casements, and all openings have timber lintels.
At the rear, there is an attached crew yard that includes two beasthouses and a barn. The barn, built in the late 18th century, is made of coursed limestone rubble, has a slate roof, and raised stone coped gables. It has a single-storey, single-bay front with a central planked door set beneath a segmental brick arch, which is located in the blocking of a wider original opening. The right-hand range consists of five bays with an open front supported by cast iron columns and also has a slate roof. The third range is open-sided, featuring a hipped pantiled roof and timber bay posts.
