Description

This is a milepost located north of the Drove turning on London Road in Osbournby. It dates from the early 19th century and is made of cast iron with a triangular plan. The milepost features raised inscriptions that read 'OSBOURNBY PARISH', 'LONDON 109', 'FALKM. 3', and 'SLEAFD. 6'. At the base, it also displays the maker's name, 'HORNSBY SPITTLEGATE'.
