Description

Nos. 17-23 North Road is a terrace of four agricultural workers' cottages built in the mid-19th century. The cottages are constructed from coursed limestone rubble and feature pantile roofs with red brick chimney stacks. They are two storeys high, with a total of four windows on each floor facing North Road, while the doorways are located at the rear. The windows have projecting stone sills and segmentally-arched heads, and they consist of two-light casements with horizontal glazing bars. The eaves are overhanging, and there are two ridge stacks. At the rear, the doorways have brick segmental arches, and the grouped windows mirror those at the front.
