Description

The village cross, located on the north side of Byard's Leap in Cranwell and Sleaford Road, dates back to the medieval period and was restored between 1903 and 1904 by C. H. Fowler. It is constructed from ashlar stone and features a square platform with three steps that supports an octagonal pier. Above this pier is a tall octagonal column, which has a moulded capital and base, and the entire structure is topped with an ashlar cross.
