Description
The Corner is a house built in 1768, located on the west side of High Street in Brant Broughton and Stragglethorpe. It is constructed of brick and features a pantile roof with brick coped gables and kneelers, along with two gable stacks. The building is two storeys high and has three bays, with the central bay slightly projecting.
The central doorway is framed by a door surround and an open pediment supported by brackets. It has a six-panel door with an overlight above. To the left of the door is a glazing bar sash window, while to the right is a 20th-century casement window. On the first floor, there is a central 20th-century casement window, with a similar window to the left and a glazing bar sash window to the right. All the windows feature segment heads. Above the central window, there is a stone plaque, which is almost illegible, that bears the date '1768'.
