Description
24 and 25 Guildhall Street is a house that has been converted into two shops. It dates from the mid-18th century and has undergone alterations in the mid-20th century. The building is constructed of brick with a stucco front and features a plain tile roof.
It has a first-floor band and stands two storeys plus attics with three bays. On the left side, there is an early 20th-century shopfront with a pilastered surround and gabled brackets, along with late 20th-century windows. The right side features a mid-20th-century shopfront. Above the shopfronts, there is a central canted 19th-century oriel window with 20th-century glazing, flanked by single 20th-century casements. Above this, there is a central dormer with two sliding sashes and a single dormer with a casement to the right, both having segmental heads.
Inside, there is a restored chamfered spine beam.
