Description
The Cottage is a house dating from circa 1851, with later additions from circa 1880 and circa 1900. It is constructed of brick with stucco dressings and has a slate roof with two gable stacks. A plinth runs along the base. The main part of the house is two storeys high and three bays wide. The entrance features a doorcase with pilasters and a pediment supported by scroll brackets, sheltering a half-glazed door and overlight. On either side of the entrance are mid-19th century canted bay windows with margin-light sashes. Above these, three glazing-bar sashes are set within stucco lintels. A two-storey cottage addition to the right has a hipped roof and a late-20th century conservatory. The interior has not been inspected.
