Description

The wall and railings enclosing the Charlesworth Monument were built in the early 19th century and in 1899. They consist of dressed stone and rendered brick walls topped with stone copings, creating an oval enclosure. At the front, there are a pair of iron gates set between skeleton piers, along with cast-iron spearhead railings. The rear features a rendered wall with a ramped coped gable leading to a wrought-iron gate. This structure is included for its group value.
