Description

Mint Wall is a section of a Roman wall, likely the north wall of a basilica located on the north side of the forum. It dates to around 100 AD and was excavated in 1980, with restoration completed in 1991. The wall is constructed of coursed rubble with tile bonding courses, features putlog holes, and has a renewed pantile coping. It measures approximately 20 meters in length and reaches a height of up to 5 meters. Mint Wall is also designated as a Scheduled Ancient Monument, County No. 18.
