Description

The Roman well and part of the forum wall in Lincoln date back to the 1st century, with alterations made in the 16th century. They were excavated and consolidated around 1980. The well head measures approximately 3 meters square and features round-headed arches at the top. The section of the forum wall to the south is 3 meters long and about 1 meter high, with a stepped plinth. This site is designated as a Scheduled Ancient Monument, County No. 115A.
