Description

The Tathwell War Memorial is situated by the roadside at the entrance to the village, enclosed by low white-painted railings. It is made of rough-hewn grey granite. The memorial features a tapering plinth made of granite, from which a plain Latin cross rises. On the northern side, facing the road, there is an inscription in lead lettering on the plinth within a slightly recessed panel. The dedication reads: "IN MEMORY OF THE MEN FROM THIS PARISH WHO GAVE THEIR LIVES IN THE GREAT WAR 1914-1919" followed by nine names.
