Description

The gate piers to Tathwell Hall, dating from around 1842, are made of limestone ashlar. Each pier has a rectangular shape with chamfered rusticated bases that rise two-thirds of the height of the pier, leading to a flat band featuring a Greek key pattern. The upper portion of each pier is composed of plain ashlar, topped with a moulded cornice and a ball finial.
