Description

Nos 2 to 8 on Cornmarket, dating from the early 19th century, are three-storey buildings constructed in stucco with a parapet. The façade features a pattern of windows with two sets of three hung sash windows and two sets of two hung sash windows, all set in reveals and with glazing bars. The upper floors are adorned with tall Corinthian pilasters, and the outer central windows are framed in architraves, with those on the first floor featuring pediments. There are decorative bands across the building. The ground floor retains remnants of four shop windows, along with panelled and glazed doors and ornamental rectangular fanlights. A central passage door is also present. Nos 2 to 26A form a cohesive group.
