Description

This is a row of four late 18th-century buildings located on the south side of Westgate. The buildings are constructed of brick and extend to three storeys. The roofs are covered with pantiles. The windows are mostly modern, with the exception of those at number 39, which retain three-light sash windows with glazing bars. Number 37 features a two-storey, canted bay window from the 19th century. A new three-light window has been added to the ground floor of number 41. The buildings are currently undergoing restoration. These buildings form a group with numbers 25, 29 to 31 (odd), Westgate House, The Limes and numbers 43 to 47 (odd) on Westgate.
